Client: Combination BAM SDZ V.O.F.
Location: Driebergen Zeist
The new guarded bicycle shed with 3,000 bicycle spaces at Driebergen Zeist station was opened on Monday 17 February last and is managed by NS. This beautiful shed is open daily from the first to the last train and also offers ‘free’ parking with OV-chip card every first 24 hours.
Gacon was commissioned by Combinatie BAM SDZ V.O.F. to install the floor and wall finishes. The system used for the floor finish is based on Sika's Sikafloor-2540 W and is available in two colours for separation between the aisles (RAL 6016 with anti-slip profile) and the ‘islands’ for the bicycle racks (RAL 7004). Wall panelling was also applied on walls based on Sikagard-675 W in RAL 7004.
The floor finish was pre-tested for skid resistance and cleanability by DEKRA Rail in accordance with the requirements set out in ProRail's SPC00216.
This work follows the combination order after the application of the KEIM Concreton-W system to protect and beautify the concrete of the underside of the railway deck and platform deck and associated columns.
